Dougy Mak's Blog

MY BLOG!

omg, I FORGOT MY PASSWORD!

I’ve been wanting to blog here and there, and I couldn’t login! I forgot my password, and I haven’t took the time to reset it either. ANYWAYS! I would just like to write about whatever is on my mind. I am ALWAYS getting sidetracked and I have such a hard time concentrating on my studies. I would study, then do something, then go back to study. I spent like 4 hours trying to read 3 chapters for one of my classes! SHOOOOT!

Let’s see… currently I am trying to develop a few hobbies. I like to work with websites, like to learn to make money online, like to put together gundam model kits, and like to play tennis. I practically NEVER played a sport in my life, unless you consider hapkido as a sport, but YEAH! I haven’t been playing any tennis at all, since I had to attend some family issues that limits my time to play- darn.

whatelse… I won some stuff on the internet, and I am selling those stuff at the moment. I recently lost my wallet- fail, but I bought a new tumi wallet :) . I found $40 at Golden Gate Park, so I guess I can say that I broke even since the wallet I dropped had ~$40 in it. Um… oh! Someone told me that I don’t pay attention to the present much, and I was like… yeah, you’re right. I noticed that my mind is always off somewhere thinking about things. Like, most of the time, I am thinking of my website. For example, a few weeks back, I had to launch a new layout, and I couldn’t bare to shut down my website for a few days while I update it, so I had to plan out the stages to transition over to the new design. First, I would think of how I should do it, and think of as many ways as I can, then eliminate all methods that wouldn’t work. Next, I would often go over the procedure a few times in my head, and try to think of all possible errors that I might come across and then think of possible solutions for those. Normally, during this process, I would write it down, so that I can look back on it later and revise the plan, if needed. I read somewhere that you should spend more time planning out your projects, so that you can glide through the process faster, and I found that this is very true, at least for me. I’ll say I spent like 2-3 weeks planning out the transition procedure from old design to new design, and I spent like one day upgrading everything. Last thing, I TRY not to waste my time thinking about it in class, unless i am bored or trying to stay awake, but i use most of my traveling time (bus, walking, etc…) thinking about it.
