going gold baby!
The other day, I was browsing LifeHacker, and I stumpled on to an interesting article. The article was a DIY (Do it yourself) project that showed how the writer repaired his faulty earphone jack. Coincidently, the headphone jack to my headset was starting to rip off, so it was a perfect time to change it. I don’t have any pictures of the process, since my assistant, Kyle, didn’t take any, but you can see the tutorial here: How-To: Repairing Faulty Headphones by Chris Metcalf.
The jack that Chris used was so damn sexy that I bought the exact one from Radio Shack. You can see the microphone jack which is an example of how the jack’s appearance before the repair.
