$100 Worth of Scratchers AGAIN
So, I thought it was really fun the last time I spent $100 on scratchers, so I thought I would give it another try. Today, I spent $100 for fifty $2 scratchers; I bought fifty Jeweled 7’s scratchers. By now, the people at the 7 Eleven store already recognized me. They were not shocked at all this time when I asked them for fifty scratchers. They actually had to open a new pack for me since there was not enough in the current stack, and eventually ran out of Jeweled 7’s because of me.

Set 1
I stopped buying Tic Tac Toe because I already took the “big” win in that game, so I thought it would be least likely to have another big win, so I picked Jeweled 7’s because they had the most similar statistics to Tic Tac Toe. Here is a stack of $100 Jeweled 7’s.
Jeweled 7’s was pretty exciting. I found only one JEWELED symbol, and I found quite a few 7 symbols. My winning results were quite impressive, especially since I pretty much broke even. Here are the winning tickets:

Overall, I had 17 winning tickets out of 50 tickets. That is a 34% for winning within this set!

$100 Worth of Scratchers
I bought $100 worth of scratchers today. The idea sparked when I was sitting in class while day dreaming. I thought it would be fun to buy $100 worth of scratchers. My little experiment turned out to be pretty interesting especially since… well… I would not want to spoil it.
I bought all of my scratchers from one place, 7 Eleven. I bought fifty $2 tic tac toe scratchers. I was originally going to buy one hundred of $1 scratchers, but I changed my mind since I have better luck with the $2 scratchers.

Set 1
First scratcher, first win!
For the first few, I was trying to play tic tac toe by scratching one space at a time, but that took too long, so I ended up just scratching everything in big swipes. After scratching all 50 tickets, I was left with only 7 winning tickets, but I went back and double checked each ticket and found 2 more winning scratchers totaling 9 winning scratchers. These are the winning tickets.
Overall, I had 9 winning scratchers out of 50, which is pretty good in my opinion. That is an 18% winning for this set. I won a total of $20 cash and 6 tickets which is $32 in total value. Quite a reasonable winning percentage, but I was no where near close to breaking even. However, I used the $32 for a new set and bought more scratchers.

Set 2
From the winnings of the first set, I was able to get 12 more scratchers ($32).
This one was much more exciting because I had found 4 winning tickets, which is a 33.3% winning percentage, but that was not the best part. The 1st winning ticket, I had won $3. The 2nd ticket, I had won $6. The 4th ticket, I had won another TICKET. Next, I jumped off my chair screaming “YEAHH!!!”. I was jumping and throwing up two fists in the air, smiling like crazy; I was happy and excited because in the 3rd ticket, I had won $400!!!! Four hundred dollars, wow! It was one of the greatest moments of my life!
I went to redeem my prize, but they did not have enough money at the time, so I just redeemed another set of scratchers first using the tickets with smaller winnings. Here are the results for set 2. Update: I did not realize this until I redeemed my prize, but I actually have another win on my $400 ticket totaling $500 cash win! I went ahead and updated all the results

The last set was pretty good, winning percentage wise. I had two winning tickets out of 6 which is another 33.3 winning percentage. Here are the results for set 3.

Update: I checked the odds on CALottery’s website and for my exact ticket, it was 1/24,000.
